MMS's Mrs. Hester's class had fun with an end of the year assignment! Each student participated in "The Great App Challenge", the purpose was to create an app with the skills they've learned throughout the semester. Marilyn Augsburger, an 8th grade student went above and beyond and created a wellness check app that provides breathing techniques, meditations and ways to relax!
Here are some of the links so you too can take a moment over the busy holiday break and enjoy some self-care!

Congratulations to MMS's Students of the Month and Cool Characters for the month of December! #19MMPride

MMS has a strong desire to help their community! In December MMS hosted a hat and pajama day to raise funds for families in our community that could use a little extra help during the holiday season. With help from the MMS staff, the Dooley family and USTRANSCOM, and the Leu Civic Center; MMS was able to help out 10 families this season!!!
We are thankful to be given this opportunity to help our community and wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!

Soon students will come home with an Impact Aid survey. Please complete the form and return it if you haven't completed it electronically. Families with more than one student only need to complete one paper form and turn in to one school. All families need to complete this.

MMS PTO thanks you! We are reaching our goal and beyond for our shoe drive fundraiser! Keep bringing in shoes to raise money and help others! We are collecting through Christmas break!

MMS celebrated Military Giving Tuesday by spreading kindness like confetti! This was a worldwide initiative and this year's goal was 2 million acts of kindness on this day. MMS contributed 910 acts of kindness by spreading thoughtful and motivating comments on sticky notes and placing them on student's lockers.

Congrats to MMS November Staff Member Of The Month, Mr. Blunt! Mr. Blunt was described by his students as a great listener who is funny, kind and understanding. Mr. Blunt is great at keeping his class interesting while creating an environment that students are comfortable in.

MMS eighth grade students HIGHLIGHTED some important math skills. They began their equation unit, and enjoyed practicing under black lights. What a fun review before Thanksgiving break!

We need your help. About 20% of families have completed the Impact Aid form. Access the form via Qmlativ’s Skyward Family Access—where you see student grades. The form takes about 2 minutes per student. Impact Aid helps the District provide for our students. #19EveryStudent

MMS 6th and 7th grade Study Skills students presented their teachers with college pennants. Students interviewed teachers, researched the college, and made a pennant for their teacher.

Have old shoes that you no longer wear? MMS will take them. Drop them off in the office or send them in with your student.
