MMS 7th Graders have been working on comprehending and analyzing the craft and structure of a drama: A Christmas Carol. As a culminating project, students collaborated and created a scene set design based on their reading.

On Friday, December 6th, the MMS Lady Braves Basketball teams hosted their first ever kids' basketball camp for 3rd-5th grade girls, with all proceeds benefiting the Mascoutah Food Pantry. A total of 34 girls attended the camp, while the 26 players and managers acted as coaches and mentors to their younger counterparts. The team raised a total of $200 to help the food pantry throughout the holidays.
The MMS 8th grade team is currently 8-7 on the season and competed in its final home game for the year on Monday, December 9th with Collinsville.
MMS - The Alpha Team was pleased to have Mr. Russell, from Looking Glass Playhouse, discuss theatre for our drama unit. He came dressed in his Scrooge costume and discussed the background of Dickens' visit to Lebanon, characterization, set design, and the community theatre approach to period specific costuming. He also answered questions from students about stage directions, reading with expression, and auditioning. The students were so well behaved and very enthusiastic. Many of them are now wanting to give community theatre a try. #19EveryStudent
