Sports This Week:

  • 8th Grade Football Game defeated Triad yesterday 14-8. Way to go Braves!

  • XC Team competed in the Highland invite yesterday. The Boys placed 6th and the Girl placed 3rd. Congratulations teams! 

  • Friday, October 2nd:

    • 6th Grade Boys Basketball Tryouts 4:00-5:00

    • 8th Grade Baseball State Tournament in Peoria @ 2:30pm. Let’s go Braves!!! 

  • Saturday, October 3rd:

    • 7th Grade Football vs. Triad at MMS @ 9:00am 

    Student Announcements:

    • Band Concert- Tue 10/6: 6th grade @ 6:00pm, 7th/8th grade @ 7:00pm in the cafeteria.

    • Mascoutah Police Department & the City of Mascoutah: are sponsoring National Night Out in Scheve Park on Tuesday, October 6th from 5:00-8:00pm.  The celebration will feature live music, bounce houses, food/drink, K9 demonstration, first responder meet/greet, and an arch helicopter landing.  Youth Giveaways will begin at 7:00pm, so be sure to bring your registration form for giveaways to the event (that you will receive from your homeroom teacher on Monday the 5th.)

    • MMS Spirit Night Tuesday, October 6, 2026 4:00pm - 7:00pm Come out to support Mascoutah Middle School and a percentage of sales will be donated to the AVID program.  All orders must be placed through the Chick-fil-A® App!  Make sure to select “Support Community Event” before

    • Reminder: Picture Retakes will be on Thursday, October 8th.

    • The  first meeting of the ASL club will be Tuesday, October 13th, in room 310 and we will meet every third Tuesday of the month. 🤟🏼

    • Chorus Concert- Thu 10/15: 6th/7th/8th grades at Mascoutah High School @ 7:00pm.

    • Two Sentence Horror Story Library Contest.  Do you dare to scare?

    The library is hosting its annual Two Sentence Horror Story Contest.  The challenge: you must tell a complete, scary story using only two sentences.   Rules: No run on sentences can be used to cram more into the story.  You may not steal someone else’s work from online or use any AI generators.  (Mrs. Crothers knows how to check). Spelling will be looked at - so please do your best and double check your spelling before submitting.  Submit your stories in the Google Form located on the MMS Library website.   All stories are due by Wednesday, October 28th.
