Over the weekend:
On Friday, our XC Teams ran in the Freeburg Hornet Run. Congrats to the varsity girls cross country team for taking first place at the Freeburg Invitational last Friday. Also congrats to the JV boys and girls who won their divisions and for the varsity boys who placed second. Medalists for the girls were Abby Brecker (7th), Maya Soltys (9th), and Lyla Marbaker (14th). Medalists for the boys were Victor Climaco (1th).
On Friday, the 7th grade softball team lost 7-9 to Smithton.
On Saturday, the 8th grade softball team fell in the Regional championship 9-0 to a tough Triad Team. Congratulations on a great season finishing 11-3 as their overall team record and conference champs.
On Saturday, the 8th grade baseball team won 12-0 to the Highland Middle School Bulldogs.

If you are interested in being part of the backstage crew for the fall play and spring musical, applications are available in the office and Mrs. DeBusk’s room (702). Applications are due on September 23rd, and the crew will be posted September 30th.
Spanish Club: ¡Hola amigos! Spanish Club sign up forms are available outside Sra. Catenazzo's room in a folder outside of room 310, if you're interested in joining to explore the different Spanish speaking countries. Sign up forms are due at the start of Hispanic heritage month on Tuesday, September 15th. Please return completed forms to Sra. Catenazzo. Our first meeting will be September 18th in room 310 and we will meet every third Friday of the month. Gracias, I look forward to seeing everyone.
Environmental Club meets Tuesday September 15th after school in Mr. Hilpert's Room 404 until 3:30.
Chess Club applications are now available at the front office. Our meetings will begin next week on September 15th and be held every other Tuesday after school.
