Our History Club will be on Monday, April 20. We are going on a field trip...across the street! This will be a great community volunteer opportunity, and we could use the help!
This month we will be helping to clean up around the Berger-Kiel Log home. It is an important part of Mascoutah history, and we are going to help ensure that it is ready to open to the public next month. We will meet by the gym entrance and walk across the street together. We will be helping to clean up around the property so that the house can be opened to the public this summer. We will be working for about an hour and then come back to the middle school. While we are there you will have the opportunity to walk through the house and learn about why it is so significant to Mascoutah. There will be snacks, stories, and fun!
We will be working primarily outside, so please plan accordingly. You shouldn't get too dirty, though.
The 7th and 6th grade spring dance, A Night Under the Stars, is happening April 24th and we hope to see you there! Make sure you get a permission slip from your WIN teacher. You'll need to have one signed before you can purchase your ticket to the dance. Tickets are $5 and will go on sale during lunch April 21st - April 24th or you can buy your ticket when you get to the dance (you'll still need a permission slip).
