Spring sports are right around the corner, and we’re excited to welcome your students to the upcoming tryouts, open practices, and seasons for Track and Soccer! Please read the following information carefully.
Dates and times for open practices may change, so please reach out to the coach or to me directly to confirm details.

Parents must complete the Athletic Permit Form BEFORE tryouts. If you already completed this form earlier in the school year but did not select a spring sport, please resubmit it with the correct sport selected.
2) Physical Requirement

Winter Closet Cleanout! MHS will be collecting new and gently used shoes of any type to raise funds that support children and families in the Amazon Rainforest and Peru. MHS students had the opportunity to spend time with these students during a summer travel tour through our science department and are eager to continue supporting them, as these communities are in great need of assistance. All funds raised will be donated directly to programs that provide educational support for children and their families. The shoes will be sent to developing countries and given new life. So our purpose is two-fold: to reduce waste and assist our new friends in Peru. Shoes can be placed in the collection bin located by the cafeteria at MMS or dropped off at the High School during operational hours. If you have any questions or would like more information on the programs that will benefit from the funds, or would like to make a cash donation for the cause, please contact Kira Budde at buddek@msd19.org. Our goal is to collect 2000 pairs! Collection ends February 27
Congratulations to the January Teacher of the Month, Mrs. Merrick! Students report that Mrs. Merrick is a great teacher who is kind and caring, treats students like they are her own and who makes Social Studies interesting and fun.
Three students will be randomly selected each week for a prize if they’ve completed their agendas all week. Students will be called to the office over the intercom at random times throughout the week. If your name is called, come to the office with your agenda. If your agenda has been completed all week, including with a goal written at the beginning of the week, you will receive a swag bag full of great prizes. Good luck!
