Beta Club Home Page

The National Junior Beta Club is a non-profit, leadership-service club for grades 5-9 whose purpose is to encourage effort and reward merit, and to promote those qualities of character that make for good citizenship. To qualify for Jr. Beta, students must achieve and maintain high honor roll grades. Once invited and inducted into Jr. Beta, each student must complete 16 hours of community service before the end of the school year. Some opportunities for service hours will be provided, but students must show initiative to find and complete service hours as well. Invitations for new members will be issued after first quarter grades are posted.
Past activities include food drives, personal item collection for Wounded Warriors, fundraising for various charitable organizations selected by students, and participating in the Make-A-Wish Foundation's annual Walk for Wishes. Jr. Beta students are also frequently seen helping around the school as teacher helpers, library aides, tour guides, and maintaining calendars, bulletin boards, and facilitating school activities.

The Junior Beta Pledge:
I hereby declare
That I shall always strive
To be honest and truthful at all times
To maintain a creditable scholastic record;
To be of service to my teachers and fellowmen;
To conduct myself in an ethical and moral manner
To reflect credit upon my school and community.
