CIRCULATION AND OVERDUE POLICY

93125/p258077110_67879.jpg

Regular library books (fiction and non-fiction) may be checked out for two weeks and may be renewed for an additional two weeks, provided these books have not been requested for use by another student or teacher. Current magazines and newspapers are available in digital form, to be accessed via the students' Chromebooks.

There are no fines charged on books, however students with items over 2 weeks overdue may be placed on lunch detention. Students must reimburse the library for the cost of any lost or damaged materials. Individual overdue notices will be sent to students via classroom teachers. However, failure to receive an overdue notice does not excuse the student from returning books.

All library materials are due approximately 1 week before the last day of school. If students have outstanding library items, they may not be eligible for end-of-year celebrations such as field day and the 8th grade field trip.
